It is called Sun Bringer Kisosen. Eagle Myth: The Abenaki solar deity “Kisosen” meaning “Sun-Bringer” Was symbolized as an eagle whose wings opened to create the day and whose wings closed to create the night. ( source: www.warpaths2peacepipes.com )
