Finding my voice

As I wrote on Facebook... What is art and what does Art stands for?...

Overpainting... loose painting,,, abstract painting... from life/photos... what makes a good painting good?

I am looking, as someone dear to me said, for my voice... and i am starting to know what i am good at and what makes my painting stand out... I can't say that yes this is how i want to paint.. no. I actually can't say that i am happy with this one...

But i have started a lion that i really like that took me 3 hours... alla prima, strong accent strokes and so on. I feel that's what i want... something more. Atelier Stockholm and most Ateliers.. teaches you how to be tidy and patient and so on. From spending 2 months on a painting now i spent 3 hours to 3,4 days. Sometimes i have to spend more time... sometimes it just doesn t need more work.

For ex. The eye of this horse... i spent 3 hours just to capture something... some life. Miles said that it looks like one of those emo horses! meh winter ... Sweden... HAHA! But anyways

not sure how long i spent on this but i will give it a rest and go on. I feel i am getting there!

Portraits and a new pose

2 portraits I did. One with pencil and one with charcoal and chalk on toned paper. And a new figure pose that I will work in color tomorrow! 

Still life Owl

So in like 3 days i did this awesome owl! I love purple/blue/green colors. I have viridian, crimson alazarin and ultramarine blue + transparant oxide red... love this colors! 

anyway! tomorrow a new day... relax or paint... ? em ._.

I wish i had more animals to paint from life... So I am tryin to get more stuffed animals but they're in bad shape! So will see where i will end! hehe

Horse Portrait and A little Bird

This week i have been working on my Horse portrait and a little still life of a bird! It took me almost 3 hours I think to do this little 33x24cm painting of a bird.
I also want to sell it! hehe! So if you are interested the painting will cost
5 000kr ( Sek ) + shipment depending where it will be sent!

So I posted on facebook the horse thinking it is done... but My teachers told me that if i want my horses to look unique and not like all the horse paintings you see on the net... you need to find something to give them power... so i have been trying this and that ... but still not there! it has my own touch but.. still not there

              I am dead tired... I have nightmares painting and that i can t put my
               imprimatura on the canvas....  haha! time to go home and rest : ) Cheers! 

Done Still Life

             I don't wish to work on this anymore... Learned a lot...
  all of my loose things... and the fast pase i work with... is because of all of this tight work... Anyways... i was 22... when i started now 23! hahaha! kinda funny!
